Mrs. Mary Dilworth

In August 2021, Mrs. Dilworth suddenly became a widow after nearly 30 years of marriage to her beloved, Clifton Dilworth, Sr.  Prior to his death, they both served as  profound pillars of strength in their church and community, ministering to widows with unwavering spiritual, emotional, and financial support."

"During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mrs. Dilworth immediately formed 'The Widow's Might,' a support group that created a vital social environment for the growing number of grieving widows at that time.

The primary mission of The Widow’s Might is to firstly reflect the heart of God by actively supporting and acknowledging the strength and contribution of widows to their family, church and community."Honoring widows is more than a duty; it is our sacred, biblical mandate according to I Timothy 5:23. We are their champions, and will ensure that their true value is always honored and highly esteemed. Secondly, The Widow’s Might exists to provide ongoing counselling and training for new marriages as well as encourage spouses to endeavor to fulfill their marriage vows “til death do us part”!!

Mrs. Dilworth is an activist and advocate for the elite society of widows leading the charge for dignity, equality, social reform and economic empowerment.  "Shortly after becoming a widow, Mrs. Dilworth discovered that June 23 is International Widows' Day. Moved to turn her personal grief into a beacon of hope for others, she organized her first Awareness Walk shortly thereafter to ensure no one walks alone."  You can find her on the 23rd of every month advocating for widows, widowers and orphans, bringing awareness to a need that continually persists in our nation and the world.
